About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and ambitious Postdoctoral Researcher to join Drug Transport and Tumour Metabolism group. The ideal candidate will be responsible for their own project, investigating the roles of transporters in metabolism and drug distribution/drug response in cancer. They will also be expected to integrate themselves within the team and contribute to collaborative research with the team

About you

The ideal candidate will have a PhD (or equivalent experience) in cancer metabolism, cellular metabolism or a related biological field. Prior experience of metabolomics is highly desirable, as is experience with cell and molecular biology techniques such as immunofluorescence, live cell imaging and cloning. Coding expertise in R, particularly in the context of image and/or omics data analysis is also desirable but not essential. The position is available to be filled from summer 2025, and the candidate would need to be in post by late September.

*Additional allowances comprise a £1,000 lump sum Settlement Allowance plus a yearly Training Allowance of £850 in the first year, paid in monthly instalments. The Training Allowance increases to £1,300 in year two, and £1,800 in the third year.

This role qualifies for endorsement by UKRI for a UK Global Talent Visa, for which the successful applicant is likely to be eligible to apply.
