Position Description
The incumbent will be responsible for writing, editing and reporting school news in a timely and accurate manner. S/he will get involved in school website development and maintenance, and help manage GTIIT WeChat subscription account. Furthermore, s/he will collaborate to organize school public affairs activities.
Duties and Responsibilities
·Write press releases, brochures, fact sheets, newsletters and correspondence.
·Translate English and Chinese news and relevant documents.
·Post news and prepare periodic reports and presentations to update school website and social media account.
·Answer routine questions and inquiries from media and the public.
·Help arrange press conferences and briefings.
·Help build and maintain outbound communications to establish and promote GTIIT’s image.
·Initiate and suggest new PR projects and programs with supervisor consent.
·Prepare and produce marketing materials both for domestic and international recruitment programs.
·Complete other tasks assigned by superiors.
Required Job Specifications
·Required qualification: Master’s degree from an internationally reputable university.
·Required experience: Preferably relevant working experiences in higher education institutions.
Required Job Competencies
·Good news writing and translation skills: both in Chinese and English.
·Good photography skills and aesthetic judgement.
·Sensitivity to news, experiences in writing and selecting topics.
·Good skills of communications.
·General knowledge about science and technology.
·Team spirits, able to cooperate with others.
·Creative thinking.
·Resistance to pressure.
