模式識別國家重點實驗室是由原國家計委投資成立的首批國家重點實驗室之一，實驗室依托中國科學(xué)院自動化研究所，現(xiàn)有固定人員73人，其中“百人計劃”研究員7人，國家杰出青年基金獲得者4人，45歲以下青年科技工作者占80％。實驗室流動人員包括博士后、研究生、高級訪問學(xué)者和客座研究人員，形成了一個以年輕學(xué)術(shù)帶頭人為核心、以青年科研骨干為主體和以高素質(zhì)的研究生隊伍為主力的研究梯隊。

實驗室以模式識別基礎(chǔ)理論、圖像處理與計算機(jī)視覺、語音語言信息處理為主要研究方向，研究模式識別的機(jī)理以及有效的計算方法，為開發(fā)智能系統(tǒng)提供關(guān)鍵技術(shù)。成立二十多年來，實驗室始終“面向國家戰(zhàn)略需求，瞄準(zhǔn)國際學(xué)科前沿”，努力建設(shè)成為一個高水平的、國際化的科研基地。

根據(jù)國家科技部《國家重點實驗室建設(shè)與運行管理辦法》以及中國科學(xué)院《關(guān)于2012年信息領(lǐng)域國家重點實驗室換屆工作的通知》，現(xiàn)面向國內(nèi)外公開招聘實驗室主任1名。具體事項如下：

一、崗位職責(zé)

1．組織制定實驗室的發(fā)展戰(zhàn)略和發(fā)展規(guī)劃，并予以實施；

2．吸引和支持優(yōu)秀學(xué)術(shù)帶頭人和青年學(xué)術(shù)骨干，構(gòu)建創(chuàng)新團(tuán)隊，形成一支在國內(nèi)外有影響的高水平研究隊伍；

3．提高實驗室科研能力和水平，組織申請、承擔(dān)重大科技項目(含國際合作)，爭取取得一批標(biāo)志性的、有重要影響的成果；

4．促進(jìn)實驗室研究工作與多學(xué)科交叉融合，加強(qiáng)實驗室與國內(nèi)外的學(xué)術(shù)交流，提高實驗室的學(xué)術(shù)影響和地位。

二、應(yīng)聘條件

1．在本領(lǐng)域獲得博士學(xué)位，具有開闊的戰(zhàn)略視野，在信息領(lǐng)域有較深的學(xué)術(shù)造詣和較高的國內(nèi)外知名度；

2．具有主持國內(nèi)外大型科研項目的經(jīng)驗，具有帶領(lǐng)科研團(tuán)隊的經(jīng)歷，具有較強(qiáng)的組織管理與協(xié)調(diào)能力；

3．具有較廣泛的國內(nèi)外學(xué)術(shù)聯(lián)系與較強(qiáng)的國際學(xué)術(shù)交流能力

4．身心健康，為人正直，具有高度的敬業(yè)精神；

5．全職、全時在實驗室工作，最遲于2012年12月31日前到位。

National Laboratory of Pattern Recognition

Director Position Open

The National Laboratory of Pattern Recognition (NLPR), affiliated with the Chinese Academy of Sciences’ Institute of Automation (CASIA), Beijing, China, is looking for a full-time researcher serving as director for five-year term (2013-2017). Qualified researchers from worldwide are welcome to apply.

Introduction of NLPR

The NLPR was founded in 1987 to become one of the first state key laboratories in China. Its mission is to conduct cutting-edge research in the broad area of pattern recognition, to develop key technologies, and to train postgraduate students. Currently, the NLPR has 73 staff members, including 68 staff researchers, and nearly 300 graduate students and visiting scholars. The research directions of the NLPR include the fundamentals of pattern recognition, image processing and computer vision, speech and language processing, and the applications to various areas. Duties of the Director

- Plan and execute the development strategy of the laboratory

- Establish competitive research teams via attracting excellent researchers

- Propose and execute key research projects from the government and international programs

Qualifications

- PhD in pattern recognition or related fields

- Well established and renowned in the international community

- Experience of conducting key research projects and skills of team management

- Professional dedication, willing to work at the laboratory in full time
