We are excited to advertise for a Research Fellow (x1 0.8 fte or x2 up to 0.4 each) to undertake a project exploring experiences and views of people with learning disabilities (PwLD), and their families of accessing and interacting with health/community care professionals (HCPs) using virtual consultations (phone, video and email), including non-user views

The Fellow(s) will work with the research team, both internally to the university and with our community/ health partners to explore the use of VC for vulnerable groups and to lead on/contribute to all stages of work. Stages of work include undertaking a rapid literature review, filmed qualitative interviews and observation of health-related consultations, contributing to/ hosting online consultations events with our participant groups and involvement with all stages of project analysis, project outputs and knowledge dissemination.

This project is funded by the ARC KSS (NIHR) and is funded for 16 months. We welcome applications from individuals who would like to share the role or work part-time (either one applicant to work 0.8fte or two Fellow's working part- time/shared role (up to 0.4 fte each).

This role will be located in the Kate Grainger Building, and much of the research will be conducted online.

Applicants should have, or soon expect a PhD degree in a health, social or medicine-related discipline. Previous research experience, using qualitative research methods would be particularly desirable, together with experience with working with PwLD, families and health/community professional groups.

The successful applicant will be self-motivated, able to work independently, with strong skills in team-working and communicating.
