- Develop sensitive analytical methods for the study of a family of a dozen fungicides and their relevant metabolites (QuEChERS& LC-MS/MS), - Validate such analytical methods according to quality criteria for various food matrices, - Analyse samples to be taken for various production situations, - Exploit the analytical results for publications, - Participate in the writing of scientific articles. - Apply the health and safety rules of the domain
At the CNRS, the post-doctoral researcher will carry out his/her work at the Centre for Molecular Biophysics (UPR4301 in Orléans), in the “Molecular Aspects of Life” team and on the theme of the “Impacts of pesticides on biodiversity”. This work is part of a national research programme (ANR) for the period 2021-2023 and will be carried out under the scientific responsibility of the theme leader. The missions of the research project will focus on the exposome: - study environmental exposure (water, plants) to a family of fungicides (SDHI), - study human exposure through food (beverages and plants), - study human exposure through analysis of urine.
The CBM (UPR 4301) is a CNRS unit of about 140 people where several teams work at the interface between physics, chemistry and biology. This research project is part of a theme of studies on the impact of pesticides on biodiversity (invertebrates and vertebrates) and on health (occupational and consumers). By combining real exposure studies and those on measurable effects, the overall objective is to assess the risks associated with the use of pesticides in agriculture. The applicant will be under the responsibility of the project leader.
Eligibility criteria
The candidate must have a PhD in a field related to the analytical chemistry of synthetic pesticide-type small molecules. Solid knowledge is required in chemical analysis (preparation, purification & detection). Knowledge of analytical quality criteria is desirable. The candidate will be motivated to take up scientific challenges. The candidate will demonstrate good writing skills in English, and the ability to publish and promote research work. The candidate will have the ability to work in a team and in a network of partners.
