We are looking for a motivated postdoctoral research scientist to join our team in order to conduct a survey on the psychosocial impact of COVID-19 on childhood cancer survivors.
Childhood cancer survivors face many late effects because of cancer treatment, including second cancer or cardiovascular disease. As compared to the general population, survivors of childhood and adolescent cancer are thus particularly at risk of: feeling more at risk of experiencing a severe course of the disease, changing their healthcare pathways, having more psychological consequences related to the epidemic, being more impacted by the socioeconomic consequences of the pandemic. The CONSECO projects aims at identifying the consequences of the pandemic of COVID-19 on childhood and adolescent cancer survivors in terms of risk perceptions, healthcare pathways, psychological and socioeconomic outcomes. Data will be collected by means of online self- reported questionnaires sent in cohorts of survivors and compared to data of the general population. Three existing cohorts of survivors will be mobilized, covering different types of childhood cancer and period of diagnoses.
Missions of the candidate will be to coordinate the survey, to manage and analyze the data and to valorize the results.
We expect the candidate to have a doctorate or equivalent qualification in epidemiology, medicine, public health or social and human sciences applied to health. Good computational skills and a relevant experience in managing large datasets and analyzing psychological or socioeconomic outcomes in people with cancer and/or chronic diseases will be appreciated. The applicant is expected to speak and write in English (French is an option).
He/She will be supervised by Agnes Dumas, researcher at the INSERM (French Institute on health and medical research) in the ECEVE Unit.

ECEVE (Clinical Epidemiology, Economic Evaluation applied to Vulnerable populations, UMR 1123, INSERM/ Universite de Paris) is a multidisciplinary research unit meant to support evidence-informed public health decision. Research conducted in the ECEVE unit aims at improving health care pathways for vulnerable populations, in particular for children, adolescents and young adults and individuals with mental health diseases. The contract is a 12-months full time contract.
The position is located at the Universite de Paris, Faculté de Médecine, site de Villemin, 10 avenue de Verdun, 75010 Paris.
The remuneration is based on qualifications and experience according to the INSERM salary grid.
