Job Description
Post-doctoral fellow with strong molecular genetics and substantive informatics skills needed for NIH-funded translational human studies involving wet bench and omic's level discovery and validation in the lung. We are exploring somatic mutationome, DNA methylome, and transcriptome features in “normal” lung, as they relate to aging and carcinogenesis. Functional validation of key methylome hits in the lung will be pursued, using unique CRISPR-based technology as well by the selected fellow. The lab has an exceptional, clinically-annotated human lung and surrogate tissue collection, permitting the development of non-invasive biomarkers of lung cancer risk as a parallel related ongoing activity.
