Job Overview

Drexel University Department of Civil, Architectural, and Environmental Engineering is seeking a postdoctoral researcher to work in the field of water quality in buildings. The position involves coordinating the activities of three institutions working on an EPA-funded study of water quality in buildings and human health risk. The effort includes laboratory, field, and mathematical modeling components.  

Qualifications

The position requires strong organizational skills, as well as excellent oral and written communication skills. Qualifications include a doctoral degree with a background in risk assessment and statistics. Experience with meta-analysis and web-based application development is helpful but not required.  

Essential Functions

The candidate will build a database of prior studies of building water quality, identify appropriate health-based thresholds for building water quality parameters, and complete a meta-analysis of conditions leading to exceedances of building water quality parameters. The candidate will coordinate the activities of a multi-disciplinary, multi-institutional team and assist with the supervision of student research assistants.
