The Polymer Chemistry and Bioengineering group within the Zernike Institute for Advanced Materials at the University of Groningen, The Netherlands, invites applications for two PhD Student Positions in the field of antibiotics development.
Job Description
Two 4-year PhD student positions are available within the framework of a European training network starting from March 2017. The topic deals with the fabrication and characterization of novel antibiotics. These anti-infective agents are either produced by chemical synthesis or biotechnology methods.
Your Qualifications
• Master degree in chemistry or the field of life sciences
• Highly motivated and team oriented
• Passion for multidisciplinary research
• Strong research background in organic chemistry or molecular-/microbiology
• Excellent skills in the English language
