A Postdoc position is available in the Diaz laboratory, at UCSF. Our lab studies problems brain tumor heterogeneity using a combination of molecular and computational approaches. As part of our lab’s participation in an NIH BRAIN Initiative Award, and our role in the Brain Tumor Research Center, we will be single-cell sequencing over 100,000 cells from human brain tumors and human fetal brain tissue within the next 3 years. The postdoc will analyze, interpret and integrate these data to model tumor evolution and microenvironment interaction. We are particularly interested in candidates with expertise in machine learning and bioinformatics. Previous experience in neuro-development or neuro-oncology and next-generation sequencing data analysis is preferred.
