Postdoctoral Research Associate in Nanocatalysts for Metathesis Reactions : Oxford, United Kingdom
Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Research Associate to work under the supervision of Professor Edman Tsang on a research project funded by SCG Chemical group for a fixed-term period of 3 years. This project involves synthesis, characterisation and testing of nano-catalysts for metathesis reactions.
You should either already have a PhD in chemistry or a relevant subject area, or have submitted your thesis prior to taking up the post. Have a good working knowledge in nanomaterials synthesis and techniques for their characterisation particularly, the use of high resolution transmission microscopy and diffraction methods. Experience in synchrotron characterisations on solid materials would be an advantage.
The post will be based in the Department of Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry, South Parks Road, OX1 3QR, and is available from November 2015, or as soon as possible thereafter.
