Job Description
A postdoctoral fellow position is immediately available in the Laboratory of Dr. Ayumu Taguchi in the Department of Translational Molecular Pathology at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center.
Research in my laboratory involves identification of biomarkers and therapeutic targets for lung, pancreatic, and colorectal cancer through multi-omics data analysis, followed by assay development and validation for intended clinical applications (Cancer Cell. 20:289-99, 2011; J Clin Oncol. 31: 4536-43, 2013; Cancer Res. 74: 4694-705, 2014; J Natl Cancer Inst. 107(8): djv132, 2015; J Clin Oncol. 2015 in press.).
The successful candidate will be self-motivated, ethical, and team spirited, and will hold a recent Ph.D. in biomedical science, biochemistry, molecular biology, cell biology, bioinformatics, or a related field. Previous experience in mass spectrometry, immunoassays, cell culture, or RT-PCR is preferred. Hands-on knowledge in bioinformatics will be considered as distinct advantages.
