Postdoc : Erlangen, Germany
Seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral fellow to work in a translational immunology research laboratory (lab of Gerhard Krönke) at the medical immunology campus at the University of Erlangen. The lab studies general cellular and molecular mechanisms of inflammation, self-tolerance and autoimmunity, respectively. The specific project focuses on identifying pathways that link innate immunity and coagulation to develop novel therapeutic strategies for both inflammatory and cardiovascular diseases. The lab uses various immunological and molecular biology techniques and has a strong background in mouse models of inflammatory and autoimmune diseases.
Ideal candidates should have a PhD or equivalent, a strong background in cell biology/molecular biology, experience in working with mice as well as a strong passion for science. Additional knowledge in pharmacology would be helpful.
Necessary requirements include: ability to work independently and a good productivity as demonstrated by an existing publication record.
