Job Posting: A Postdoctoral Position is Available
Molecular Modeling and Simulation Group, Quantum Beam Science Directorate, Japan Atomic Energy Agency is looking for a postdoctoral fellow who will carry out the following research.
Research Field : Molecular Simulation (biophysics, biochemistry, computational biology)
Theme: “Study on chromatin dynamics using molecular simulation”
The researcher will be expected to contribute to develop and carry out molecular simulations on chromatin to understand how chromatin dynamics controls gene expression. In doing so, the following topics are prepared: 1) analyze structural and dynamical aspects of mono-nucleosomes composed of histone variants; 2) construct a coarse-grained model to study the dynamics of poly-nucleosome; 3) construct a theoretical model that can describe the relationship between chromatin dynamics and gene expression.
Qualification for Application:
Having a Ph.D. degree related to the recruitment field (at the time of assignment). Communication skill in Japanese is not mandatory but English should be fluent.

Terms of employment:
(1) Salary ~450,000 yen/month
(2) Contract term after April 1, 2015 to March 31, 2016
(The contract term can be extended up to March 31, 2018 upon annual review of research achievements and upon the funding.)
(3) Holiday Weekend (Saturday and Sunday), national holidays, year-end holidays, paid holidays.
(4) Working Hours 9:00 am – 5:30 pm.
(5) Social Insurance, etc… Health insurance, welfare pension insurance, employee's
pension fund, unemployment insurance, workers accident compensation insurance.
(6) Welfare Institute family resident and dormitory are available.
