A postdoctoral research associate position is immediately available in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Tulane University School of Medicine and Louisiana Cancer Research Consortium.
For this position, we are seeking a motivated candidate with a strong interest in translational cancer research, focusing on key signaling pathways in prostate cancer and their contribution to therapeutic resistance. The ideal candidate should have expertise in cellular and molecular biology techniques, and is expected to perform innovative research to address biological questions that will help clinicians provide better care to patients. The successful applicant will be capable of designing and executing experiments spanning a range of molecular, cellular, and biochemical based techniques in order to investigate hypotheses related to key events in cancer progression and response to therapy. The new hire will be highly self-motivated and creative and able to work effectively in a team environment.
Candidates must hold a Ph.D. or equivalent doctorate in biomedical sciences (molecular biology, cell biology, biochemistry, genetics) or related field, preferably with a background in cancer biology and therapeutics.
