The Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) Department of Cell, Developmental & Cancer Biology (CDCB) is a basic science department examining cell-intrinsic and cell-extrinsic regulation of cell, developmental and cancer biology.
CDCB faculty, some in conjunction with the OHSU Knight Cancer Institute, are currently recruiting team-oriented postdoctoral fellows with outstanding research backgrounds for the following positions:
Sudarshan Anand: anands@ohsu.edu Postdoctoral position to investigate non-coding RNAs in the tumor microenvironment. Candidates should have experience in Cancer Biology/Molecular Biology/Cell Biology/Immunology with at least one first-authored publication and not more than two years post-Ph.D. experience. Sara A. Courtneidge: courtneidge@ohsu.edu Postdoctoral positions (2) to investigate mechanisms of tumor dormancy, progression and metastasis. Candidates should have experience in cancer biology, with expertise in molecular biology, genetically engineered mouse models of cancer, and/or imaging techniques highly desirable. Lisa M. Coussens: wiesen@ohsu.edu Postdoctoral position to investigate leukocyte contribution to solid tumor development. Candidates must have a Ph.D. with a strong background in immunology, cancer biology, or related fields. The ideal candidate will possess experience in cellular biology, fluorescent imaging, gene expression analysis, multiparameter flow cytometry, and in vivo mouse models. Caroline Enns: ennsca@ohsu.edu Postdoctoral position to study the structure-function relationships of key proteins involved in iron homeostasis. State of the art structural and imaging facilities are available for this project. Candidates should have experience in protein purification and cell biology techniques. Amanda Lund: lunda@ohsu.edu Postdoctoral position is available in the newly established Lund Lab to study the immunomodulatory properties of lymphatic vessels and their contribution to immune dermatopathology and malignancy, in particular melanoma. Candidates should have significant experience in the following areas: tumor biology and immunology or endothelial biology, in vivo mouse models and fluorescence microscopy. Pepper Schedin: schedin@ohsu.edu Postdoctoral position to study the role of immune-stromal cell interactions in promoting breast cancer metastasis in young women. This multidisciplinary project spans preclinical models, clinical specimens, and state-of-the-art technologies for the study of the tumor microenvironment within the OHSU Center for Spatial Systems Biomedicine. Kunyoo Shin: shink@ohsu.edu Postdoctoral position is available to join the newly established Shin laboratory to conduct research focusing on Hedgehog (Hh) signaling and its role in tissue maintenance/regeneration and cancers of various organs.
