A postdoctoral fellow position is open in Prof. Zhan Chen’s laboratory at the University of Michigan. Prof. Chen’s lab is applying nonlinear optical laser spectroscopy and imaging techniques to study polymer surfaces/interfaces and biological surfaces/interfaces, as well as other materials and biological problems. The research is highly interdisciplinary, and this position requires strong background and extensive experience in laser physics, nonlinear optics, and/or molecular spectroscopy. Working experience with pico-second and/or femto second lasers, OPG/OPA, and any nonlinear optical effects is desired. A PhD degree in optical physics, laser physics, nonlinear optics, laser engineering, or related fields is required.
