Modulation and observation of protein-protein interactions at the synapse
Description
A postdoctoral position is available in Bordeaux to join an interdisciplinary research group on a project funded by the ANR (French Ministry of Research). We combine chemistry, biophysics, protein engineering, imaging and neurobiology to develop innovative methods and approaches to investigate the role of specific protein-protein interactions in the context of synaptic transmission and plasticity. Our main strategies involves modulation and observation of the protein-protein interactions of interest in order to better understand and define their complex organization and regulation at the postsynaptic density. The selected candidate will conduct research in a multidisciplinary project mainly focused on PDZ domain-mediated interactions occurring at the synapse. The objectives will consist primarily at developing innovative tools to achieve a photoreversible control of the disruption of these interactions.
