Vestfold University College (HiVe) invites applicants for one postdoc position for two years with possibility for extension to three years.
The candidate will focus on basic research within the topic of micro energy storage to explore and develop micro- and nano-technology solutions that enable highly miniaturized self-powered sensor nodes for use in condition monitoring in energy production facilities such as off-shore wind power plants. The work will be carried out within the research project Integrated micro power for condition-monitoring in energy production facilities funded by the Research Council of Norway. The postdoc fellow will work within the research group Energy harvesting/Micropower at HiVe/ IMST, as well as in collaboration with our project partners at SINTEF. The postdoc fellow will be expected to be able to work independently and as part of a group.
Qualifications
The applicant for the Postdoctoral fellowship must have completed a doctoral degree (PhD or equivalent) in MEMS/NEMS energy storage, electrochemical energy sources and/or nanostructuring. The successful candidate should document strong background in electrochemistry, MEMS supercapacitors, microsystem design and fabrication, and be skilful in modelling.

Postdoktor, code 1352, according to qualifications.
