A Postdoctoral Research position is available from the beginning of 2014 in Dr. Rosmarie Friemann’s group at the Department of Chemsitry and Molecular Biology, University Gothenburg, Sweden.
We are looking for a highly motivated postdoc with experience in biochemistry and/or x-ray crystallographic studies of membrane proteins. The main research project concerns structure-function studies of transporters from pathogenic bacteria. You will be using state-of-the-art methods in membrane protein biochemistry and x-ray crystallography. The applicant should hold a PhD and have a strong background in biochemistry as well as documented experience working with membrane proteins. You must be able to work independently but also interact/collaborate with group members and collaborators. Strong written and oral English communication skills are required. The project involves traveling to national and international collaborations.
