Postdoctoral research positions are available to study astrocyte branchlet physiology in the context of striatal microcircuits using genetic, proteomic, electrophysiological and optical imaging approaches.
The ideal candidates will have experience of molecular biology, proteomics, imaging and/or patch-clamp electrophysiology. The projects are ideal for researchers looking to publish high quality papers before applying for faculty positions in a few years time.
The overall project represents an exciting and novel research direction at the intersection of genetics and optical imaging. UCLA is an excellent place for neuroscience research, boasting world class facilities.
