Assist in experimental programs involving synthesis and modification of nanomaterials and their suspensions. Evaluate morphological, electrochemical and physical properties of the formulations.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Considerable
Considerable knowledge and skills with nanomaterial handling and synthesis and experimental physical chemistry focused on the characterization of surface-modified nanomaterials and their suspensions. Considerable knowledge of the electrical energy storage concepts that can be applied to a broad range of materials and the skill required to efficiently alter the experiment design onto desirable class of materials. Considerable knowledge with electrochemical reactions and/or electrical transport phenomenon as well as in data processing, evaluation, and interpretation. Considerable knowledge of mass transport phenomena and knowledge of using ex-situ and in-situ spectroscopic techniques. Considerable skill to apply existing theories to the analysis of data. Considerable skills in oral and written communications.
Good
Good knowledge of energy storage systems, electrochemical techniques, electron microscopy, impedance spectroscopy, and data analysis. Good skills in chemical and electrochemical instrumentation and maintenance of laboratory equipment. Good skills in keeping current on pertinent scientific literature. Good skills in working independently and productively, working as a member of a multidisciplinary research group and contributing effectively to the needs of the sponsor.
