The Institute of Gender in Medicine at Charité-Universitätsmedizin Berlin offers a Postdoc position to perform experiments in basic cardiovascular biology with laboratory animals, molecular analyses, tissue culture and cell biology. The full-time position is limited to 2 years with the opportunity for prolongation.
We are localized at the Center for Cardiovascular Research offering a multi-disciplinary research environment as well as excellent opportunities for professional and personal development. The group of Prof. Regitz-Zagrosek is investigating sex differences in the development and manifestation of physiological and pathological cardiac hypertrophy, heart failure and vascular mechanisms.
Candidate Requirements
You hold a doctoral degree, preferably in molecular biology with cardiovascular background and gained several years of theoretical and practical experience in molecular biology. You further are likely to be familiar within the field of sex differences in cardiovascular diseases. You possess experimental knowledge in the molecular standard techniques, are willing to work with small laboratory animals and have strong leadership ability. You have excellent organizational skills and a high level of team spirit. You are fluent in English (oral and written), with excellent communication and presentation skills, and facility with MS Office and statistical software complete your profile
