The Genentech post-doctoral program is designed to create a vibrant and supportive environment for rigorous scientific training and is not meant to be a stepping-stone for non-research based careers such as Business Development or Legal. As a Post-doctoral fellow in Process Research & Development department, the candidate will be part of an effort to develop novel polymer-based technologies for the long-term delivery of antibodies. The primary aim of this program is for Genentech scientists to train postdocs to conduct research of the highest possible quality and publish the results in top-tier journals
A Ph.D. in Polymer Chemistry, Organic Chemistry,
Materials Science or Chemical Engineering is required.
Thecandidate must have comprehensive knowledge of polymer
synthesis, degradation mechanisms and characterization
techniques. Hands-on experience in ring-opening, radical and
condensation polymerization reactions and polymer
characterization using NMR, DSC, GPC and rheology is preferred.
The candidate should have an excellent publication record and
possess strong oral and written communication skills as well as the
ability to thrive in a fast-paced collaborative environment.
