We seek to appoint a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher to join the thymus laboratory of Graham Anderson and Eric Jenkinson within the MRC Centre for Immune Regulation, College of Medical and Dental Sciences.
The appointment runs until 30 September 2015, and is funded by a Programme Grant from the Medical Research Council.
Research activity will focus on investigating the role of the thymus in T-cell development and tolerance induction (Trends in Immunol. 2012, 33:256; Immunity 2012 36:427). In particular, research projects will involve:

Investigating how cortical and medullary thymic microenvironments develop from thymic epithelial progenitor populations.

Utilising in vivo and in vitro models to determine how thymic cortical and medullary stromal cells regulate the production and selection of self-tolerant T-cells.
Applicants should have a PhD in immunology or a related discipline and a strong academic record and have published significant work in high impact journals.
