　　美東時(shí)間5月1日，2018年度美國(guó)科學(xué)院院士增選結(jié)果揭曉，84名新科院士和21名外籍院士榜上有名，其中包括6名著名旅美華人學(xué)者，涵括物理、生物與固體力學(xué)等領(lǐng)域，分別畢業(yè)于北大、西交大、復(fù)旦、中科大、臺(tái)灣中興大學(xué)，和哈佛。

　　美國(guó)科學(xué)院由林肯總統(tǒng)1863年簽署法案建立，以表彰當(dāng)選院士在科學(xué)研究領(lǐng)域的卓越貢獻(xiàn)，并為美國(guó)聯(lián)邦政府提供科學(xué)政策建言。今年增選后，其院士總?cè)藬?shù)達(dá)到2382名。據(jù)統(tǒng)計(jì)，迄今為止，一共有約90名華人學(xué)者當(dāng)選美國(guó)科學(xué)院院士。

　　在早先公布的2018年美國(guó)工程院院士增選中，也有六位旅美華人學(xué)者當(dāng)選，包括，佐治亞理工學(xué)院史建軍，加州理工學(xué)院汪立宏，麻省理工學(xué)院邵陽，康寧公司李明軍，卡拉制藥公司Chen Hongming，和Sandia國(guó)家實(shí)驗(yàn)室科Jacqueline H。 Chen。另有四位中國(guó)學(xué)者當(dāng)選為美國(guó)工程院外籍院士，包括清華大學(xué)郝吉明，中科院金屬所盧柯，浙江大學(xué)楊衛(wèi)，和臺(tái)灣地球科學(xué)家李羅權(quán)。
